We've compiled a list of the fees for checked bags in economy on U.S. domestic flights if you don’t have elite status or access to perks from cobranded credit cards.

Word to the wise: if you're trying to save on cost, keep in mind that Allegiant, Frontier and Spirit could potentially charge more for carryon bags. And as always, procrastination will get you... You're likely to pay up to $15 more per checked bag by paying last minute at the airport.
