Cadence Turns 20: Homemade Blankets for Nursing Homes

Time spent with seniors brings so much joy to both parties and as an added bonus, we can also learn so much from them. However, we recently read a statistic that 85% of people in nursing homes sadly don’t get visitors.

"Growing up, I helped take care of my grandma and made many nursing home visits to see my grandparents (and the other people we met just by being there)," said Leah Shader, Account Manager at Cadence. "We decided to warm up some hearts by making simple fleece tie blankets for seniors in a local nursing home."

These cozy gifts were easy to make and a great way for groups to get together and share stories / raise awareness. We're looking forward to delivering the blankets and spend some time bringing joy to the recipients!
