Every year, our local Embassy Suites by Hilton in La Jolla hosts a tree decorating and raffle event to benefit Braille Institute. We filled our travel-themed tree with handmade ornaments that said "hello" in languages from around the world.

Braille Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate barriers to a fulfilling life caused by blindness and severe sight loss. They offer a variety of Free Programs, Classes and Services at five Centers and 220 Community Outreach locations throughout Southern California.

Each year Braille Institute creates an environment of hope and encouragement for more than 75,000 people through integrated educational, social, and recreational programs and through our services, classes, and seminars.

The event raised over $800 and we were thrilled to hear that all of the love we put into our tree resulted in a huge reward- ours received the highest bid!
