New business travel app lets you buy peace and quiet on demand.
Another favorite on our lists of travel apps: one that brings peace and quiet on demand.
Even though we can agree that the point of traveling for business is to grow our business, it's ironic that the business travel lifestyle is generally so far from productive that one may (hesitantly) wonder just how and why we put up with it.
The creator of the new travel app Breather had a series of productivity-lessening pet peeves that went something like this:
- I'll feel awkward lingering at this coffee shop if I don't buy another coffee.
- It doesn't matter if I step inside or outside, it's still too loud to make a phone call.
- There aren't enough outlets. Ever.
- I can't practice my presentation out loud.
- I'm in someone else's space, and they're in mine.
- I need a nap.
It's not that business travelers are "go, go, go" all the time- it may just be an issue of not having anywhere to stop until you check into your hotel, and that's only if you're staying overnight.
Breather was introduced to give individuals a beautiful, private work oasis away from home. Each enclosed, lockable space in the program requires significant natural light and neutral wall and floor colors.
Use your space to meet, work or relax with the peace of mind that you'll have everything you need (fast Wi-Fi, furnishings, etc.) as well as a safe and clean environment to stay well rested and productive.
You can keep the space for as little as half an hour to as long as, well, as long as you'd like. The app charges your card on file for the length of your stay.
